I just spoke with a legend. His name is tightly linked with the explosive growth of contemporary and popular Kenyan music starting in the 90’s. Tedd Josiah is a renowned, respected producer who has been in the business for 20 years. His repertoire includes ‘Tafsiri Hii’ by Kalamashaka, ‘Uhiki’ by Hardstone and ‘Megarider’ by Nameless. Mr Josiah has worked with a wide range of artists in Kenya; Gidi Gidi Maji Maji, Necessary Noize, Jimmy Gathu, Darling P and Suzanna Owiyo. He founded the Kisima Awards. Any google search of his name leads to results showcasing his deep involvement with the entertainment industry in Kenya and around the world – a true legend. It was such a pleasure to conduct an interview with him for Jamati.com. Watch out for the full piece coming soon: Jamati Online.
